Meet our Conference Team 

 

Harold Louwerse Photo

Harold is Department Manager of MH Vancouver’s Building Science Department, heading-up the new construction practice. He has been a Professional Licensee of Engineering since 2018 and has served as professional of record and field technician on a large variety of projects including both new construction, rehabilitation, and investigation/remediation. He is knowledgeable and experienced in building science with respect to cladding, glazing, and roofing and waterproofing systems. Harold has served on the FenBC Technical Committee and is currently serving on the Technical Committee for RCABC.

 

Stephen Hume

Stephen has almost 20 years experience in building enclosure design as well as the evaluation, restoration and repair of a variety of residential, commercial and insitutonal buildings.  Stephen’s broad knowledge base ensures a practical approach to design is undertaken, providing durable long-term results for the end client.In addition to his experience in the evaluation, restoration and repair of a variety of building and parking structures, Stephen has design and contract administration experience in a range of different sized projects, including a prime consultant role on a recent $8M enclosure restoration project in Abbotsford.
Stephen has experience performing infrared roof and building reviews. He also has significant experience in evaluation repair and design of new and existing swimming pool structures and is familiar with the corrosive nature of a pool environment.As a Professional Engineer, Stephen stays abreast of current research and development in his field.
